Well, as per the study conducted by ICMR indian council of Medical Research, about one in seven persons in India suffers from mental disorders of varying severity. The data suggests that the mental disorders like depression and anxiety are the most common disorders affecting 45.7 million and 44.9 million people, respectively.
India being one developing nation going through a lot of social, political and economical changes. The data give us a clear picture about how grave is the mental health issue. The common trigger could be a variety of things but some of the common triggers are the education pressure, financial stress, Health Issues, Ongoing conflicts, Stress and socializing could be one too.
