On Friday day after Chandrashekhar Azad got bail from the Allahabad High court, he was charged under the controversial National Security Act (NSA). The act gives the government unprecedented power to detain anyone in the name Of National security.

However, Azad remained under the police custody and while boarding him to police vehicle he left a message that states “Humaari ladai koi ek vyakti se nahi hai. Humaari ladai hai nyay ke liye. Aur jeetenge hum log. Aakhri samay tak ladenge. Aakhri samay tak Daliton ke nyay ke liye.” (Our fight is not with any one individual. Our fight is for justice, and we will win it. We will fight till the end. We will fight till the end to get justice for DALITS.)

The Bhim Army chief in the month of May was charged by UP Police for his alleged involvement in Saharanpur caste violence incidents in which several homes of Bahujans were looted and burnt.

He was arrested on 8th June by Saharanpur Police from Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh.

However, In the Saharanpur riot, there were also blamed on police for supporting upper caste people in inciting violence against Bahujans.

 

The Allahabad High Court observed that the charges against Azad were politically motivated and granted him bail on several charges of riot.
