Moment Of Joy For Hyderabad; First ‘Differently Abled Friendly’ Park Opened In Malakpet

It’s the moment of joy as Hyderabad get its first ‘differently abled-friendly’ park on Friday. Park has some great facilities such as therapy block, sensory theatre, an amphitheatre and counselling centre as well.

Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao inaugurated the park in the presence of Asaduddin Owaisi, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen. Park is spread over an area of 1.03 acres and built worth Rs 1.77 crore.
In a press release government said that Park is specially designed for wheelchair-bound people, blind, hearing-impaired ones which provide easy access to all. It is also mentioned that there are plans to start such parks in all municipal blocks in the state.

The park is divided in two parts, one deals with therapy while other deals with recreation.

However, an indoor badminton stadium was also inaugurated. The stadium built worth Rs 1.2 crore, out of the total cost Hyderabad MP Asaduddidn Owaisi contributed Rs 60 lakh from his (MPLADS) scheme, while Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation sanctioned Rs 60 lakh for it.

Thousands of differently abled gathered in the inauguration.
