Ockhi Hits Kerala, 7 Died Many Missing

Southern states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu shaken by the cyclone Ockhi this week. As cyclone Ockhi hits the shore, 7 deaths have been already reported. There are several missing also reported.
Ockhi on his way towards the Lakshadweep Islands, uprooted trees, electric poles, snapping power lines, and damaged each and everything on its way.
Schools and colleges have been shut down . The state government has issued advice to remain inside the houses.
The meteorological department warned that the depression over the ocean may intensify rains in the region in the next 24 hours.
It affected train services also as more than 12 trains, including long-distance trains and passenger trains, to the two states have been either partially canceled or stopped.
Fishermen affected most by this cyclone as their fishing boats blown away.
Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan held a video conference with all district collectors and advised them to be on high alert. He has asked given them directions to evacuate people in low-lying areas if needed.
