India Clinch the paytm trophy by 2-1

In a nail biting paytm T20 final which was played between India and
Newzealand on Tuesday at Greenfield stadium india beat newzealand by 6
runs. Due to rain match was reduced to 8 over per inning. In rain affected
match india made 67 runs at the loss of five wickets, In response kiwi only
able to manage 61 runs at the loss of six wickets.

Match has been delayed due to the shower. After winning the toss
Newzealand decided to bowl first, kiwi’s got it right when they get back to
back wickets of Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan in the
single over of Tim Southee. At the end of the day india manage to made 67
runs and give kiwi’s very short target of 68.

From India Manish Pandey was the highest run getter, he scored 17 off 11
balls with the strike rate of 154.54 while among kiwi’s it was Colin De
Grandhomme who also got the same digits as manish pandey with the
strike rate of 170. While in Bowling it was Tim Southee from Newzealand
who took 2 for 13 and Jasprit Bumrah from India who manage to get 2 for
9.

In post match press conference virat kohli looked impressed with their
bowlers, Kohli said Bowlers deserves lot more credit than they usually get.
On losing series to India Kane Williamson said “We were very good, just
not good enough. He also said that “ As a group we are trying to constantly
improve and get better.
