Delhi Medical Association Threatens Delhi Government To Go On Strike

 

After the negligence by Max Super Speciality hospital, Delhi government cancelled the licence of hospital. Delhi Medical Association is looking totally upset with the decision of government.

President of Delhi Medical Association, Dr. Vijay Malhotra said that if the decision of cancelling the license of hospital is not withdrawn, then we will stop the health services of the whole Delhi and also call strike.

He also raised questions about health facilities in government hospitals. He said licenses of government hospitals should be cancelled as well as there is no system in place.

In Shalimar bagh, Delhi, Max Super Specialty Hospital comes under the scanner when last week hospital handed twins to the parents declaring that both were dead. On way to the crematorium, family found that one was alive, child was rushed to the nursing home where he died on Wednesday.

After the submission of enquiry report on Friday. Delhi health minister Satyendra Jain said the final report of an enquiry by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) submitted to him found the hospital at fault.

He added “We have earlier also issued notices to hospital for violating EWS norms. The Delhi government has decided to cancel the licence of Max Hospital. The hospital has been found guilty by the expert committee. As far as action against the doctors is concerned, the Delhi Medical Council is the competent authority to take any action against them.”
