US Military On Mission To Clean Sweep ISIS

U.S. along with coalition military forces continuously attacking Islamic State of Iraq and Syria from 22^nd December and still going ahead. Within span of one week so far military forces conducted 46 strikes in different states.

Strikes were the part of Operation Inherent Resolve, the target of the operation was to destroy ISIS in Iraq and Syria. The officials said that the destruction of ISIS in Iraq and Syria will effect the group’s ability of conducting terror operations in the region and in rest of the world.

Highlights of the Strikes

• Strikes In Syria
  On Dec. 28 in Syria, coalition military forces conducted nine strikes against ISIS targets.

  Near Abu Kamal, eight strikes against eight ISIS tactical units.

• On Dec. 27 In Syria, coalition military forces conducted 10 strikes against ISIS targets, destroyed three ISIS vehicles including a heavy machine gun.
• On Dec. 26 Near Abu Kamal in Syria, coalition military forces conducted five strikes against ISIS targets.
• On Dec. 25 Near Abu Kamal in Syria, coalition military forces conducted single strike destroying an ISIS headquarters.
• On Dec. 24 Near Abu Kamal in Syria, coalition military forces conducted four strikes against ISIS targets, destroyed a heavy machine gun and three ISIS vehicles.
• On Dec. 23 near Abu Kamal in Syria, coalition military forces conducted four strikes destroyed UAV, an explosive hazard, and a heavy weapon.

• On Dec. 22 near Abu Kamal in Syria, coalition military forces conducted five strikes destroyed a heavy machine gun, an ISIS vehicle.

Strikes in Iraq

• On Dec. 28 near Jalula in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted strike against ISIS targets, destroyed an ISIS cave entrance.

• On Dec. 27 near Rutbah in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted two strikes against ISIS targets, destroyed an ISIS vehicle along with shelter.

• On Dec. 26 near Asad in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted a strike, destroyed an ISIS tunnel.

• On Dec. 24 near Huwayjah in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted two strikes, destroyed two ISIS fighting positions and a cave.

• On Dec. 23 near Huwayjah in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted a, destroyed four ISIS tunnel entrances.

• On Dec. 22 near Mosul in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted strike against ISIS targets, destroying an ISIS command-and-control center.

However, the task force not disclosed the number or type of aircraft used in strike.
